Here’s where to find your throwback-filled Spotify Time Capsule playlist

While we wait for Spotify to launch their in-app karaoke feature, the streaming platform is giving us the nostalgia we need with a revamped version of the Time Capsule playlist. With each listener having their own personalized playlist, we’re thrown back to less-hectic times just jamming to old favorites.

There are two ways for you to find your personalized playlist both on desktop and in the Spotify app. Check out where you can locate your Time Capsule playlist below.

With playlists such as the annual Spotify Wrapped and Repeat Rewind, the streaming service is always providing us with a way to look back on our listening habits. Now, with the new Your Time Capsule playlist, Spotify is giving listeners a more in-depth experience by including tracks that you probably haven’t listened to in a long time.

Spotify released the first version of the Time Capsule playlist back in 2017. Composed of 50 tracks, the new playlist is based not only on listening history but your country, age and genres you enjoy. If you’re not satisfied with the list you got, don’t worry. Your Time Capsule playlist will be updated frequently so you can have a constant flow of old tunes to rock out to. Because of this, no two people will have the same tracklist.

Like the Daily Mix and Discover Weekly playlists, your Time Capsule can be found in the Made For You section of your homepage. It can also be found with a simple search. Follow the steps below to find your personalized list in-app or on desktop and save it to your library.

1. Find the “Made For You” shelf

Once you open Spotify, on your homepage in Your Library, there’s a Made For You shelf that includes your Daily Mixes and Discover Weekly. Your personalized Time Capsule playlist will also be located here. It can take some scrolling to get to it if it’s not at the top of your page, but it’ll be there.

2. Add it to your library

Once you find the playlist, make sure you press the little heart below it to save to your library. This will make it easier to find in case you’re itching to go back in time but don’t want to have to go searching for it.

OR

1. Search “Decades”

If for some reason you can’t find it on your homepage, you can also locate it in the Decades Hub. First, you’ll want to go to the search bar, then type in “Decades.” The Decades genre will be the first link.

2. Finding your Time Capsule

When you press that, it will take you to the hub. Your playlist will be the first option you can pick from along with All Out 80s, All Out 00s, All Out 10s and more.

3. Find it in your playlists

Once you add the Time Capsule playlist to your music library, it should show up at the top of your list. You can rearrange your playlists on the desktop app if you’d like it to appear lower.
