Ice Nine Kills drop limited slasher shirt supporting coronavirus relief

The coronavirus is a terrible thing. It’s currently decimating most of the U.S. economy and it’s hitting bands and service industry workers especially hard. Well, Ice Nine Kills is doing their part to help.

The band released a special t-shirt in support of Sweet Relief and Music Cares.

In the wake of all of these event cancelations and bans, many able people are stepping up to assist those who may be struggling in these trying times.

Earlier this week, The Recording Academy and MusiCares announced a new initiative to assist everyone working in the music industry currently being affected by the coronavirus pandemic. People care during this time of great suffering. It’s also important to keep a sense of humor, like Gary Holt amid this crisis.

But, if you’re able, do you part. That’s exactly what Ice Nine Kills is doing.

Ice Nine Kills released a special edition t-shirt in wake of the coronavirus. The important part is that a portion of the profits goes to organizations that are supporting musicians during this horrible event.

Ice Nine Kills announced the shirt on their social media. There is also a face mask if you want to be fashionable while hitting the grocery store.

In a lengthy statement, Ice Nine Kills spoke about the crisis and how important it is to give back.

The shirt features three famous slasher icons– Michael Myers, Billy Loomis/Stu Macher (Scream) and Jason Voorhees on the front.

In our corner of the music industry we are seeing the touring personnel that work closely with INK and other bands like us, lose their entire income stream in a matter of days. But like a resilient young coed fighting back against a masked killer in a final act bloodbath, the music business isn’t going out without a fight.

Ice Nine Kills is proud to do its part, slashing back at the virus by partnering with two important charities — Sweet Relief and Music Cares — to release a special t-shirt and mask which will generate income to send aid to those who need your help. A portion of the proceeds of these new limited edition designs will be donated to those charities and a portion shall be used to support INK’s own displaced tour crew. Let’s mobilize the power of the amazing INK psychos to ensure the real carnage stays where it belongs – on The Silver Scream. Available at ink-merch.com

Ice Nine Kills are very much in tune with the global pulse. In January, they dropped a limited shirt to aid Australian wildfire relief.

If you’re able, do your part and support local businesses and bands. The coronavirus pandemic is affecting a lot of people. Think of how cool you’ll look when social distancing is over. You’ll jump out that front door rocking a t-shirt that showed you actually gave a shit during this crisis.

The new shirt is available here. Meanwhile, while you’re quarantined, watch Ice Nine Kills newest music video “Savages.”
