We've been avoiding open sewers lately in anticipation of It: Chapter Two's upcoming release, and the latest stills from the film show the reason why.

The film's release fast approaching with only two months to go. In anticipation, Entertainment Weekly shared more shots of the Losers Club battling Pennywise as adults.

The amount of blood championed by one of the film's stars, Jessica Chastain, isn't completely evident in the new images. However, they do show the gang bloodstained and walking through a dingy sewer tunnel throughout the photos.

Horror fans should be eagerly anticipating the new film if nothing else for the promise of record-breaking amounts of gore.

“In the movie, there’s a scene — Someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film. In a scene,” she says. “The next day, I was pulling blood out of my eyeballs — like, fake blood.”

While fans won't be watching the film for a few more months, Screenwriter Gary Dauberman has seen the final cut and had only glowing things to say.

“I’m very, very happy and I’m very, very proud,” he says. “I don’t know if you can hear the joy in my voice as I try not to answer this question, but I’m very excited for everyone to see it. As a very, very anxious person, I have no anxiety about that movie whatsoever.”
