It: Chapter Two posted a link on Twitter to an artists contest that encourages fans to create posters for people to “Come Back to Derry, Maine” inspired by the film’s trailer.

Every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine. IT Chapter Two brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film,” the contest reads. “To amplify the September 2019 launch of IT Chapter Two, New Line Cinema and Warner Bros. Pictures are creating an art activation campaign leading up to this film’s release, and they want to collaborate with you!”

Participants are encouraged to create two versions — one daytime and one nighttime — of their poster to show just show unique the town is.

Ten people who submit drawings, digital paintings, moving images, animations or more have the potential to be featured on the film’s social media accounts, merchandise and print materials.

Each of the 10 winners will receive $1,500 for each piece selected.

More It: Chapter Two news

Prior to the trailer drop, the cast heavily teased fans in anticipation for it by posting ominous pictures with red balloons.

Then, Stephen King just revealed he’s seen the film and hyped it up to fans.

“Looking forward to IT CHAPTER 2? You should be. I’ve seen it, and it’s terrific. The trailer is coming Thursday, at noon. You’ll float,” his tweet reads.

Recently, director Andy Muschietti revealed how he picked the cast for the sequel based on the Stephen King  novel.

“I wanted the adult Losers to be believable and that people believed that we’re talking about the same people,” he said. “It was a journey of finding and looking. I’m proud to say that all of the people I wanted in the movie finally landed in it. It was so incredible to find all the people standing here were so excited to be a part of it.”

While the film will focus on the adult version of the club, that doesn’t mean the kids from the first film won’t make an appearance. As previously reported, the kids from the first film will appear in flashbacks during the sequel.

Additionally, the film will see the adults of the Loser’s Club tackling the strange ritual that involves the group biting each other’s tongues and laughing.

We’ve previously heard that the film will have “the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film,” which sounds pretty exciting to us.
