It looks like ‘American Horror Stories’ is full of some familiar ‘AHS’ faces

Ryan Murphy is certainly having a busy week. After unveiling the official poster for American Horror Story season 10, he’s now offering the first look at the spin-off series American Horror Stories.

While American Horror Story season 10 filming continues, it looks like Murphy is hyping up the highly-anticipated arrival of American Horror Stories. We first learned about the spin-off way back in May 2020 when Murphy shared a star-studded Zoom call photo and announced the series. At the time, the only information he revealed was that the show will include one-hour episodes.

“‘American Horror Story’ cast zoom call…where we reminisced about the good times…the spin-off we’re doing called ‘American Horror Stories’ (one hour contained episodes)…when we will start filming the next season of the mothership…and other stuff I cannot print. It was so much fun and I’m glad we caught up. I miss everyone!”

More recently, we learned in August that Sarah Paulson is set to direct one of the American Horror Stories episodes. She confirmed the news during a recent TCA panel. Now, Murphy is finally offering the first look at the new series.

On Thursday, he shared the official American Horror Stories poster which further proves just how spooky the spin-off will be.

“You didn’t think that was it, did you?”

Many eagle-eyed American Horror Story fans noticed something interesting about the spin-off’s poster. The individual on the poster appears to be wearing a black rubbery suit. Some fans think this detail could be a subtle nod to the Rubber Man who first appeared in AHS: Murder House.

Along with the eery new poster, Murphy says that viewers can anticipate seeing plenty of familiar AHS face in the upcoming series. As well, the spin-off includes 16 one-hour episodes all about “horror myths, legends and lore.”

No air date for the spin-off has been revealed yet. However, seeing as American Horror Story season 10 has faced COVID-19 delays, it’s possible the new series won’t arrive on FX until after season 10 has aired.
