The upcoming It: Chapter Two movie could end up being more terrifying than last year's scary Stephen King adaptation, It. In fact, director Andy Muschietti promises the new flick will be so scary that you'll actually need diapers.

2017's It: Chapter One left us excitedly anxious for the next spooky movie installment, which will reportedly cover portions of King's classic horror book not featured in the first film. While we still don't know who'll play the Losers' Club kids as adults, Muschietti had some interesting things to say about Chapter Two, which starts filming this summer.

The It director spoke to the audience at a recent CinemaCon, as reported by ComicBook.com, and he certainly piqued the crowd's interest by warning that the new It movie will be scarier and more intense than the first chapter.

“They're gonna find a lot of things that resemble the first one, the humor, the emotion, the horror,” said Muschietti, prefacing his diaper-suggesting alert. “People are very invested emotionally in the characters of the story.”

But that's not all! The Chapter Two director also proposes bringing a nappy to the film. “It's gonna be scarier. It's gonna be a more intense experience,” Muschietti added. “So, bring your adult diapers to the theater.”

Sure, Pennywise the Dancing Clown scared the shit out of us in Chapter One, but will we really need adult diapers for a viewing of the upcoming sequel? Does that seem like a strange suggestion from the director?

It: Chapter Two is due to hit theaters on Sept. 6, 2019, and filming should reportedly be underway by July. And following the first It movie's $700 million worldwide payday, we're sure the scary new movie will be a hit.

Are you stoked to see It: Chapter Two? Do you think it'll be scarier than the first? Will you be bringing along some adult diapers to the theater for a showing? Sound off in the comments below and let us know what you think.
