'It' trailer smashes 24-hour view record

There's no doubt about it that fans were stoked for the new It trailer. So much so that in just 24 hours, the film racked up 197 million views and it became a new record!

This number demolished the 139 million views held by The Fate of the Furious, which held the title as the most viewed in 24 hours. Deadline reports that over 80 million of the initial streams of the It trailer came from Facebook.

It opens in theaters Sept. 8.
