J.K. Rowling hints there may be more to come from the world of 'Harry Potter'

It's been five years since the publication of the final installment of the Harry Potter series. Since then, its author, J.K. Rowling has moved on to other endeavors, like promoting her first book for adults, The Casual Vacancy. However, in a recent interview with the BBC News, Rowling mentioned the possibility of writing a director's cut of two of the Harry Potter books, giving fans a small glimmer of hope that Rowling isn't quite finished with the wizarding world she created

In the interview, Rowling said there were a couple Potter books that needed a bit more work, adding, “I had to write on the run and there were times when it was really tough. And I read them, and I think 'Oh God, maybe I'll go back and do a director's cut', I don't know.”

In a story on Deadline.com, Rowling says she isn't opposed to writing other stories centered in the world of Harry Potter, but don't expect Potter himself to be the main character. Those fans hoping for a prequel or sequel to the series had better move on.

All this chatter may be just that, but with this year's launch of Pottermore and Rowling's promise to write a Harry Potter encyclopedia, it seems like the famous author isn't quite ready to give up her famous boy wizard.
