Jake Luhrs is uniting the scene with HeartSupport—and he wants your help

A few years ago, August Burns Red frontman Jake Luhrs founded the online non-profit organization HeartSupport. Today, he is preparing to take the company to new heights—and he needs your help. In a new video announcing HeartSupport's next chapter, Luhrs speaks on HS's foundation, meaning and most importantly, how you can help. For those wondering what they can do, here's a list of recommendations:

1. Share this video.
2. Donate three dollars a month to HeartSupport.
3. Tell someone about HS so they know they're not alone.

In 2013, Luhrs spoke with AltPress on HeartSupport and his ultimate goal behind the organization, saying, “Honestly, for me personally, I want to bring unity back, especially within this industry and the music scene and this particular genre of music. It’s very heavy, negative and dark. It would be nice for people to just understand and know that people are out there and that we should care for one another and encourage one another.”
