Jamie Lee Curtis is playing the iconic Laurie Strode in the Halloween franchise one last time. She will appear on the final film in the series, set to be released on Oct. 19, 2018.

Blumhouse, the production company for the movie, shared the news and Curtis confirmed on Twitter:

Laurie Strode was introduced to the public in the original Halloween movie in 1978, as the sister of Michael Myers. Curtis played her again in Halloween II (1981), Halloween H20: 20 Years Later (1998) and Halloween: Resurrection (2002). The character was supposedly killed off in Halloween: Resurrection, so the writers will have some explaining to do.

After that, the series rebooted in 2007 with a movie written, directed and produced by Rob Zombie and a different cast.

In the new film, Curtis' character will have a final confrontation with her serial killer brother, according to Variety.

It's not even October, and we already can't wait for Halloween next year!
