Jared Leto severed head returns for “Old Town Road” jam session

“Old Town Road” has taken over as one of the hottest songs of the year, but Jared Leto has shared the creepiest clip involving the song.

The actor and Thirty Seconds To Mars frontman shared a clip of the Lil Nas X track being played while someone made his severed head from the Met Gala dance in his car.

In case you forgot, Leto hit the Met Gala carpet with a severed head in hand. And it wasn’t just any head as the replica looked exactly like Leto himself.

The Met Gala plays off different themes each year with this year’s 71st annual event being “Camp: Notes on Fashion.” The theme was inspired by Susan Sontag’s, “Notes on Camp,” a 1964 essay widely credited with bring the notion of “camp” to the mainstream.

In terms of camp and fashion, it often plays off of something intentionally bad or over-exaggerated, which Leto took to mean bringing a severed head.

The creepy head apparently isn’t going away though as Leto is using it as a prop for his Instagram now.

“Im gonna take my head to the Old Town Road… ???” he captioned the post.

The video comes after Lil Nas X made a surprise visit to an elementary school to perform the hit song. In the video, Lil Nas X looks nervous to perform until he sees how excited the kids are to scream along to a song with lyrics like “lean all in my bladder,” which is both hilarious and confusingly inappropriate.  You can see that video below.
