Jared Leto eyed as star for new 'Tron' movie
30 Seconds To Mars' Jared Leto has been eyed as the lead for a forthcoming Tron movie, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Back in 2015, this third Tron movie was scrapped by Disney.

When it was pulled, the movie apparently didn't have an official green light. However, AP mentioned in 2015 that Disney reportedly wanted to offer Leto a role.
That third movie would have starred Olivia Wilde and Garrett Hedlund, who also starred in the previous film. Joseph Kosinski would have returned to direct.
The original Tron movie was released back in 1982. Fast forward almost thirty years later and Tron: Legacy premiered in 2010.
Now, in 2017, the third film is back and in its very early stages of development. No one has been explicitly hired yet. It does seem like Tron: Legacy and Oblivion producer Justin Springer is involved. The Hollywood Reporter also mentioned that Leto and producing partner Emma Ludbrook may be involved if the movie progresses.
Leto seems to be taking a break from the acting world this summer. His band 30 Seconds To Mars are heading out on tour with Muse and PVRIS.
