Jean Dawson’s trilogy unfolds with three new tender tracks

Fresh off the heels of a debut Lollapalooza performance many are still talking about with reverie, polymath Jean Dawson dropped the second installment of his trilogy, DESTRUCTION FOR DUMMIES: (PART 2) JEAN DAWSON AS NIGHTMARE. Today, the three-part project continues to unfold with three new tracks, “NO SCOPE,” “X-RAY,” and “VEXED,” unveiling the enigmatic larger narrative at play.

As with all of Dawson’s projects, the emerging star has a vision that is truly unique, deeply multifaceted, and at times shrouded in mystery. However, while the core ethos of his art rings true throughout each of the three, electrifying and unruly new tracks, they also uncover a side of Dawson that is deeply tender and honest, and appears to be rising to the surface.

This new work, to Dawson, is more a canvas for exploration than a linear path toward cohesive sounds — a goal that only certain artists can accomplish with success. And Dawson is definitely one of them. Replete with addictive energy and full of easter eggs, as his work tends to be, we’ll be keeping these three tracks on repeat while we eagerly await the final drop of Jean Dawson’s trilogy.

Listen to “NO SCOPE,” “X-RAY,” and “VEXED” below.
