Ukrainian prog metal act Jinjer are prepping for the release of their forthcoming album Macro but first, they're dropping a new track for fans to sink their teeth into.

The band's new single, "On The Top," sees them bringing some straight-forward heaviness with their technical songwriting approach. Plenty of djent-styled grooves are jammed into the song along with a sweet melodic chorus.

The new track also arrives alongside accompanying visuals. In the video, the band can be seen exploring a crumbling abandoned building as a sniper starts picking people off in the distance.

"Have you ever felt like a rat in a rat race?" the band ponder in a statement. "It seems like the world is spinning faster and faster every single day and everyone is going crazy searching for this thing called success."

The band further explain the song by questioning listeners about what they're willing to give up for fame and success.

"Is it really worth climbing up the ladder just to be ON to the TOP if there is nothing or no one there for you in the end? It's OK to want to be the best you can possibly be but just remember that success has its price but it's up to you to decide how much you are willing to pay for it. It's your choice to make but your burden to bare."
