Johnny Depp, Alice Cooper, others form supergroup Hollywood Vampires
Johnny Depp and Alice Cooper, along with Joe Perry and Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan and drummer Matt Sorum, have formed the supergroup Hollywood Vampires. According to Rolling Stone, their name references an inexact group of musicians who frequently convened to drink on the Sunset Strip throughout the ‘70s.

The band’s self-titled debut album, which will feature appearances from Paul McCartney, Dave Grohl, Slash and others, is due out September 11. The LP boasts original tracks, as well as covers of classic rock hits.
Hollywood Vampires will make their live debut at the iconic Sunset Strip venue the Roxy on September 16 and 17. They will also take part in the Rock In Rio Festival later that month.
