Jonny Craig launches Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign for new EP

Jonny Craig announced earlier this week that he is funding his new EP, set for potential release this summer, through a campaign on crowd-funding site, Indiegogo. At post time, with 186 funders, his project is at $7,805 of his $20,000 goal with a little over a month left.

“As some of you may know, I have fulfilled all of my obligations to Rise Records and am now a free agent,” Craig said in a statement on his project page. “I want to get some new music out to all of you, MY FANS, but in order to do so it's going to cost some money. As I no longer have a label budget behind me I decided to team up with the people at Indiegogo to offer you, the fans a chance to be part of this and make this EP come to life!”

Craig breaks down the expenses of creating the EP as follows:
$10,000 for studio time
$4,000 for Producer Expenses
$2,500 Travel/Accommodation Expenses (Southern California/East Coast)
$2,000 for Art/Promotion/Marketing for the EP
$1,500 for Indiegogo Cut for Running This Campaign
