Joseph Gordon-Levitt's production company, hitRECord, release double vinyl album, 'Move On The Sun'

You probably know him as Batman's accomplice in this summer's The Dark Knight Rises, but Joseph Gordon-Levitt also has an open-collaborative production company called hitRECord. The company just released Move On The Sun, a double vinyl album that features 78 artists from a wide range of genres, including Cibo Matto, Wilco's Nels Cline, and Gordon-Levitt himself. The record is the company's second release in their quarterly subscription series, hitRECorderly. You can stream the entire album here

Gordon-Levitt, who is well known for his roles in 50/50(500) Days Of Summer and Inception, launched hitRECord in 2010 as a professional production company that uses the Internet to collaborate with artists (100,000 and counting) from all over the world, forming a community around the art they make together.  Artists of all creative focuses (video, audio, image, text) can log on and contribute to hitRECord. As with all hitRECord productions, if and when an artist's work is used, hitRECord splits the profits 50-50.
