Yes, Josh Dun and Debby Ryan did get secretly married when you thought

twenty one pilotsJosh Dun and actress Debby Ryan are officially married. The couple just revealed that they were secretly wed on New Year’s Eve. The iconic party they threw? That was just a clever disguise for their wedding reception. Many people guessed that was when they were wed, but now the truth is out. The theories were confirmed in a recent interview with Vogue

Plenty of speculation about the pair being wed has been rampant, especially after twenty one pilots’ recent song “Level Of Concern.” The video showed Dun sporting a wedding ring.

Back in December 2018, Dun proposed to Ryan in the cutest, most Josh Dun-like way possible. “I found a treehouse in the woods in New Zealand,” Dun wrote in his Instagram post. “And proposed to my girl. She my dude for life. I love you Debby.”

A year later, Josh Dun asked for some marriage advice from The Rock who helped him out.

Now, the couple have shared with Vogue stunning pictures and full diary of the events of their wedding. They planned it in just 28 days. Ryan said it was in part due to a close friend passing away the previous summer.

“The time just felt right,” Ryan says. “He was excited that Joshua and I were getting married, and I never doubted that I’d know him through every coming phase of our lives. When he passed, it really rocked me and put a lot of things in perspective. It didn’t feel important to wait anymore, to stop being busy, or for things to line up perfectly—intending to do things is not nearly as powerful as doing, as we aren’t promised tomorrow.”

“We began to flirt with the idea of having a destination party celebrating the new decade, then decided in December to get married [in Austin] on New Year’s Eve, and just keep dancing until after the ball dropped,” Ryan explained.

Dun shared a beautiful comment on how he felt about the wedding.

“The ceremony was the perfect balance,” Josh Dun says. “I felt like it was game night at our house, and this was the ultimate game, and boy did I win! I remember every detail from how it felt to be walking down the aisle, to the full body chills I got watching Debby walk down toward me.”

“The advice that I had been given by multiple people was to allow ourselves to soak it all in. My natural instinct is to be nervous and want the whole thing to be over with so we can just enjoy being married, but I decided to take the advice of my friends and enjoy every moment, even the ones where I felt out of my element and uncomfortable, as I always am whenever the attention is on me.”

Ryan looked stunning in a gorgeous Elie Saab and Dun rocked a green velvet suit with black Nike Cortez shoes. Their dog Jim was the ring bearer. Below is a photo from the New Year’s Eve Party and the two lovebirds look happy as can be.

“@DebbyRyan only had eyes for @ElieSaabworld for her wedding dress. ‘The day the collection dropped on Vogue—I saved it,’ Debby says. ‘For a long time, it was the only image of a wedding dress I had saved anywhere, and the only image in a folder titled ‘wedding’ on my phone.'”

@DebbyRyan‘s maid of honor surprised the bride and groom each with a book, compiled of letters from the people most instrumental in building their love. The final letter in each book were the couple’s letters to one another, written the morning of their wedding day.”

Congratulations to Dun and Ryan on a beautiful wedding!
