On April 25 of this year, Leach announced that he would have to undergo surgery to remove a polyp that was caused by strain and overuse. While the surgery was successful, Leach said that he would have to relearn technique and give his throat proper time to heal. The band also had to cancel several shows.
Luckily, today Leach shared in an Instagram post that he has been back in the studio. The vocalist said that he has “poured his heart and soul” into two new songs.
“Anytime I get chills or tears form when the playback is rolling, I know I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing,” Leach wrote in the post. “Yeah tears, tears are metal AF!!”
Additionally, the new album is said to feature former Killswitch Engage vocalist Howard Jones.
While there is no set release date for the upcoming album, Killswitch Engage will soon embark on a European tour. You can see a full list of dates below and pick up your tickets here.
