Knocked Loose soundtracks hilarious groundhog mosh pit

Sometimes the internet can be a wonderful place, offering us hilarious memes, mashups and more. Knocked Loose inadvertently helped drive one of the latest featuring a groundhog mosh pit—yes, you read that correctly.

Buzzfeed writer Tim Unkenholz took to Twitter earlier this week to share a video of several groundhogs shoving each other in a circle. Noticing the obvious similarities to a typical pit, the writer dubbed Knocked Loose’s “Mistakes Like Fractures” over it.

Taken from the band’s latest release A Different Shade Of Blue, Unkenholz’s choice fits perfectly with the clip. Clearly a fan of the band, the writer replied to his original post with “Assume ya’ll know but song by kings @knockedloose.”

Check out the adorably brutal mosh pit below.

The band released a video for the track back in April, which you can see below. Check out A Different Shade Of Blue here.

More on Knocked Loose

Knocked Loose dropped their sophomore album A Different Shade Of Blue, in August, which the and discussed with AltPress here. The followup to their 2016 debut, Laugh Tracks, fell on the same day as Taylor Swift’s Lover, so the band challenged the pop singer to a friendly competition.

“Hey @taylorswift13 , big fan. Looks like we (@knockedloose ) are releasing an album on the same day this year… August 23rd. Let’s see who sells more first week. Good luck,” vocalist Bryan Garris tweeted.

With the album finally out, the band’s billboard landed in an unexpected place shortly after—a Bernie Sanders rally.

The Kentucky billboard happened to be right where Sanders was striking with AT&T works protesting the labor practices of the country. One Twitter user shared a video of the politician speaking, and you can clearly see the billboard in the background.

The band also saw the tweet and quote-tweeted it with the hilarious caption “A Different Shade Of Bernie.”

Most recently, the band released a new limited-edition shirt with proceeds going to help survivors of domestic abuse to coincide with Domestic Violence Awareness month.

The Kentucky heavy hitters are donating everything they receive from the shirt to their hometown’s Center for Women and Families.

Every year, over 12 million women and men are victims of domestic violence,” the band say. “For a very limited time (until 10/29) we will have these shirts for preorder on our website – a reminder that there are survivors and victims with voices that need to be heard. All proceeds will be donated to help survivors of domestic abuse at Kentucky’s Center for Women and Families in memory of Tiffany Tomerlin. #Lovedoesnthurt.”
