Many had expected the songstress to walk away with the Golden Globe for Best Actress in a Drama, instead Glenn Close became the surprise winner in the category, snagging the Globe for her role in The Wife.

Lady Gaga—along with Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando and Andrew Wyatt—still walked away winners last night, taking home the Best Original Song award for their A Star Is Born track “Shallow”.

Taylor Swift and Idris Elba announced the winner, and Gaga was quick to tear up.

“I just have to say, as a woman in music, it is really hard to be taken seriously as a musician and a songwriter,” Lady Gaga said in her emotional speech. “These three incredible men… they lifted me up and supported me.”
