Van Bellman releases new track, and Castlecomer share an acoustic Historian session. Check out the news you might have missed today below!

1. Castlecomer share new acoustic sessionCastlecomer shared the video of their acoustic playthrough of “Living” via Historian Recording Co. The band have had a busy fall touring with Big Data and Fitness on their Sirius XM Alt Nation tour. Tickets are available here.

2. Van Bellman shares new track

You may recognize Van Bellman’s Zac Taylor as playing guitar with indie-pop act American Authors. Taylor is finding his voice through creating his own solo side project. Van Bellman released “I Hate To See You This Way,” featuring a gritty, hard-rock sound with a zombie-filled music video perfect for the season.

3. Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers premiere new song

Laura Jane Grace & the Devouring Mothers released new rock single “Reality Bites” from their upcoming album Bought To Rot. The album will be available everywhere Nov. 9 and preorders can be placed here. The band are heading out on a small tour in November in honor of the new album. Tickets are available here.

4. Andrew Oliver (I See Stars) reveals track from new project

Andrew Oliver of I See Stars is taking off on a new musical journey with his electronic music project dream beach. His latest, “Our Last Dance,” features VLPXX and will appear on his upcoming lost angel EP. The EP drops Nov. 2 and is available for preorder now.

5. pronoun drops new single

pronoun (aka Alyse Vellturo) released her latest single, “you didn’t even make the bed” from her upcoming spring 2019 full-length. The track highlights the frustrations of a breakup with lo-fi tinged punk sensibilities. pronoun will be opening for Motion City Soundtrack frontman Justin Courtney Pierre this fall, and you can pick up tickets here.

6. Boygenius surprise drop EP

The supergroup consisting of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus and Phoebe Bridgers just digitally dropped their debut EP. While the physical copies won’t be able until Nov. 9, you can stream it here right now. The trio will be playing single “Me & My Dog” on Late Night With Seth Meyers Nov. 5. While not an official boygenius tour, the trio will be out on the road together this fall (so fingers crossed we hear some of these tracks live). Pick up tickets here.

7. Bohnes drops new music video

Bohnes, the solo project of former the Cab frontman Alexander DeLeon, just dropped a new track and accompanying spooky video for “Straitjacket.” DeLeon took to Twitter to announce the clip, stating “HERE IT IS! One of my favorite videos I have ever done. I have worked so hard on this album and the first song and video are finally here. Being an artist is to be vulnerable and to give the world a look into what goes on in your heart and head.” Bohnes last release was 206: Act I earlier this year, and you can check out more on his project here.

8. Make Out Monday sign to SharpTone Records, release new video

L.A.-based pop-rock act Make Out Monday signed to SharpTone records and unleashed a new video for their single “Bullet For Your Sweetheart.” The video is a homage to horror films—perfectly spooky for the season. While no news on any upcoming music, the band recently released Visions of Hollywood, which was produced by John Fields (Switchfoot, Pink) and Dan Korneff (Paramore, The Devil Wears Prada) and is available here.
