Lil Uzi Vert just finally dropped his long-awaited album Eternal Atake. With all of the twists and turns of 2019, fans began to think Lil Uzi Vert would never release the record.
Eternal Atake also contains a sequel to the rapper's breakout hit "XO Tour Llif3."
Friday, March 6, Lil Uzi Vert made the world a little bit brighter of a place by finally unveiling his album Eternal Atake. The record follows 2017's 2x RIAA platinum-certified, chart-topping milestone, Luv Is Rage 2.
The arrival of Eternal Atake is incredible because it comes after a maelstrom of events. We'll break it down for you.
First, in January of 2019, the "XO Tour Llif3" rapper announced he was done with music for good and he had deleted everything, including his highly-anticipated sophomore album.
The rapper said it was due to issues with his label. He took to social media to express his frustrations on the delay of his upcoming album, Eternal Atake.
“You think I don’t wanna drop music? You just gotta understand, when people don’t love you, they’ll hold your life if you sign a motherfucking … Hold that shit against you … And that go for the streets too. You ain’t supposed to sign no motherfucking paper in the streets because that’s ratting. How the fuck I even sign this shit as a deal? Motherfucker set myself up. What other way I was suppose to let this shit go? Shit, it be all good at first just like them motherfucking rats. Motherfuckers be right out of jail.”
Lil Uzi Vert was then booked for Miami's Rolling Loud Festival, which was odd because he had just announced he was quitting music.
Then, the rapper expressed his frustration about the situation again, saying he was trying to figure it all out.
“I really just want them to respect me. They just gotta respect because like I respect them, that’s the reason why I really went over there,” he adds. “Like normal shit, it’s just a different level in life. Everybody go through the same shit.”
Lil Uzi Vert performed at Rolling Loud and said: “I ain’t gonna lie — the other night, I finished the last song to the album. So y’all ready for this motherfucking album?”
Following that, he dropped a few singles which brings us to today.
Eternal Atake is finally here and contains a sequel to "XO Tour Llif3."Lil Uzi Vert warned fans that a part 2 would be coming when one fan was reminiscing about the days of the first track.
