Say what you want about Lil Aaron, but the guy’s got bars. Who else do you know who can spit gold over Panic! At The Disco’s “I Write Sins, Not Tragedies” while swaying with a Tripp-clad crew in front of a mall?

Unfortunately Lil Aaron isn’t actually there with the impeccably-dressed music fans, as he's been inserted into a popular clip that continued to make the rounds back in 2011 and everywhere after that as well. It's a video of a group of friends from YouTube user Serelen, as the title of the video says, “trying to dance industrial.” It's been viewed over 2 million times, so it's no wonder Lil Aaron found inspiration in the clip.

The SoundCloud rapper has some legitimate bangers to his credit, and “Hot Topic” is definitely one of them. Another track he dropped previously, “Warped Tour,” even samples Paramore. That basically means you’ve got to check it out.

The “Hot Topic” video is surely one of Lil Aaron’s coolest works yet, reminding us of a simpler time on the internet where viral videos went viral in a not-so-complicated way, making their rounds through word of mouth and MySpace and Facebook posts, not so much Insta or Twitter these days. And while there have been several variations of that video in the last few years, this one might be the best yet when you consider some scenes don’t even look like Lil Aaron was digitally inserted. Ah, the genius of a good video editor and a charismatic subject.
