Linkin Park release never-heard-before song, "Lost"

Linkin Park fans: Brace yourselves. Today, the band dropped a new song.

The band announced a single was on the way earlier this week on Monday, Feb. 6, and today they’ve dropped “Lost,” a song teased as a “new, never-before-heard song from the Meteora archives.” The track arrives just weeks before Meteora celebrates its 20th anniversary March 25 — which fans will remember as the group’s breakthrough sophomore album that featured hits like “Faint” and “Numb.”

The song marks only one of several releases from Linkin Park following the passing of frontman Chester Bennington in 2017. In 2020, they similarly released the song “She Couldn’t,” which was originally recorded in 1998, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of their debut record Hybrid Theory. A 100 gecs remix of their song “One Step Closer” also dropped in 2021. Early in 2022, band member Mike Shinoda also shared that no new music was in the works at this time — so at least fans have archival music to look forward to.

The band announced the release with a teaser trailer, which you can watch below before checking out the full track and its music video.
