‘Maleficent’ Frappuccino is releasing its wrath at Disneyland for Halloween

The Disney theme parks are extra magical around Halloween and a new Maleficent Frappuccino at Disneyland makes us want to book a ticket to L.A. immediately.

A new “Halloween Time” menu at the Starbucks at the park is offering two limited-edition drinks for spooky season.

The first is the amazing Maleficent Frappuccino, which is purple with a green whipped cream top. It’s described as “vanilla bean creme Frappuccino base with blueberry juice and dragonfruit blended in and topped with matcha whipped cream,” according to a Disney food account. It’s as sinister as the titular character herself, and we cannot stop starring at it.

The good news is even though the drink is exclusive to the park, the Instagram user says that almost any Starbucks location can make it aside from the matcha whipped cream, so we can get some variation when we’re not at the happiest place on Earth.

You can see what it looks like below.

Listen well, all of you!? Today is the first official day of Halloweentime at Disneyland! At Market House (the Starbucks on Main Street), there are two new Disney villain-inspired drinks! This one is the Maleficent Frappuccino. It’s a vanilla bean creme Frappuccino base with blueberry juice and dragonfruit blended in and topped with matcha whipped cream. I’m not really a Frappuccino person (did it for the ‘gram), but even I enjoyed this. I love the matcha whipped cream? PSA from a Starbucks barista: we can make this drink for you at any store (minus the matcha whipped cream), but please make sure to tell your barista exactly what is in this, as it is not an official drink. Any other Starbucks Partners out there??? ・

The other drink is a Dr. Facilier Exilier inspired by The Princess and the Frog. According to Delish, it’s a “layered chai tea and lemonade iced beverage topped with a splash of passion fruit tea.”

Disneyland has two Starbucks locations — one on Main Street U.S.A. and one on Buena Vista Street in California adventures — where you can try the real-deal drink.

Disney is gearing up to drop its sequel Maleficent: Mistress Of Evil on Oct. 18 that yet again stars Angelina Jolie as the evil queen.

You can see the first full trailer for that film below.

More Disney news

We previously learned that starting this month, Disneyland’s California Adventure Park will be hosting The Oogie Boogie Bash, The Nightmare Before Christmas themed party, complete with exclusive events, costumed villains, and yes…booze.

“Don your favorite costume* to an all new family-friendly Disney Halloween party where Oogie Boogie, from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas, has summoned the Disney Villains to Disney California Adventure Park for an unforgettable night of fun and fright.” The event description states.

The Oogie Boogie Bash will also feature brand new performances and themed areas for us to explore. “See Villainous! a new World of Color show (exclusive to this event), experience the wickedly transformed Redwood Creek Challenge Trail, walk along immersive treat trails featuring Disney Villains and join a pulsing dance party with the greatest dance crew from the Isle of the Lost—based on Disney’s Descendants movies.”

The greatest part, however, is that the park sells alcohol openly and everywhere. The trendy Carthay Circle Restaurant will become a haunted locale, complete with projections and other spooky illusions.

Oogie Boogie Bash runs from Sep. 17 through Oct. 31 so book your tickets while you can here.
