Texas man arrested after telling children Santa isn’t real

A Texas man was arrested Saturday morning for criminal trespassing after creating a scene at St. Mark United Methodist Church’s Breakfast with Santa event. At the event, Aaron Urbanski, 31, was telling the children in attendance that Santa Claus wasn’t real.

According to CBS Local, Urbanski was protesting with two other people and was asked to leave the premises multiple times by a church representative.

After refusing to leave, Urbanski proceeded to ruin Christmas for a handful of children. As they were having breakfast with Santa (or so they thought), Urbanski crushed all of their hopes and dreams.

According to NBC Bay Area, the protesters were also holding signs that said, “Do you let your kids believe in a fake Santa or do they know who Jesus is?”

There is no word on how the children took the news. However, a few community members are calling the act cruel. Even the Cleburne mayor caught wind of the story and took to Facebook to share his thoughts.

“While I understand folks right to protest, Cleburne loves Santa and those protestors who were naughty and broke the law when they trespassed were arrested promptly,” Mayor Scott Cain says. “Guess they wanted coal in their stockings to go with a court appearance.”

On the other hand, many people are criticizing the U.S. justice system and calling the arrest absolute bogus.
