In the trailer, de Armas gives a stunning performance as a downtrodden Norma Jean lamenting her stardom. The actor can't bring herself to share the screen with Marilyn Monroe even once more, though they are one and the same.

During her life, Monroe was an icon, one who shaped American culture and inspired young women everywhere to think bigger. Instead of solely focusing on Monroe's molding power, Blonde also highlights how she was made to twist herself to fit the expectations of her adoring fans and detractors.

Blonde’s cast also includes Adrien Brody and Bobby Cannavale as the mysteriously named characters the Playwright and the Ex-Athlete, respectively. The film also features Caspar Phillipson as President John F. Kennedy.
