First announced at San Diego Comic-Con 2019, Black Widow was set to kick off summer and Phase 4 in May. However, the release as delayed with theaters worldwide shutdown amid the coronavirus pandemic. Marvel shifted Phase 4 to begin later this year with Black Widow snagging a November 6 release date.

Spider-Man: Far From Home ended Phase 3 last summer, picking up after the highest-grossing film of all-time, Avengers: Endgame. However, with Black Widow, Marvel fans will jump back in the timeline to follow the events of Natasha Romanova (Scarlet Johansson) in the U.S.S.R. just after Captain America: Civil War

David Harbour (Stranger Things), Florence Pugh (Midsommar) and Rachel Weisz will join Johansson in the upcoming film. Robert Downey Jr. is also rumored to reprise his role as Iron Man. The first teaser trailer arrived in December followed by a final cut in March.

The Eternals will follow Black Widow as the next installment in Phase 4 with a February 12, 2021 release date. Shang-Chi And The Legend Of The Ten Rings hits theaters May 7, 2021 followed by an untitled Spider-Man sequel November 5, 2021.

The following year, Thor: Love And Thunder will arrive February 11, 2022 followed by Doctor Strange In The Multiverse Of Madness March 25, 2022.
