Hear two singles from Matt Skiba’s new garage-punk supergroup Lektron

Alkaline Trio’s Matt Skiba has started a new garage-punk band called Lektron, and they made their two-song debut today with the singles “Dirty Jacks” and “She’s a War.”

The band are rounded out by drummer Atom Willard (Rocket From The Crypt, Against Me!), bassist Hunter Burgan (AFI), and lead guitarist Randy Moore (Spiritworld, Dan Andriano & The Bygones). Both songs, which were recorded at San Jose’s District Recording and Foo Fighters’ Studio 606, stay true to the members’ punk roots, complete with explosive hooks, wailing guitars, and fuzz.

Lektron also confirmed plans for a proper album and tour, and more details will come later this year, so stay tuned.
