The Get Up Kids' frontman Matt Pryor has announced both a new collaborative EP and solo full-length album, set to be released Oct. 1 and Nov. 12, respectively, on Say Anything frontman Max Bemis's Rory Records, an imprint of Equal Vision.

Here are some announcements from Pryor:

Below, check out a statement from Pryor on writing with longtime Get Up Kids associate James Dewees for the new EP:

“I jump at any chance to work or even hang out with James. I owe a lot of what I know about songwriting to him. We hadn’t really written together in almost three years (since the last TGUK record) and he approached me out of the blue with these new songs he’d written. He is never at a loss for musical ideas but words aren’t really his thing. It’s a perfect collaboration because I like to toil over lyrics. He can just send me a finished instrumental song (because he can play almost any instrument) and I can have something new to sing about.”

And the tracklisting for the Matt Pryor And James Dewees EP:

1.    I Can Be So Cold

2.    Failing You

3.    Peculiar

Prior's forthcoming third solo album, Wrist Slitter, will follow 2012's self-released May Day. On signing with Rory Records, Pryor comments:

”I’ve been a fan of Max’s songwriting for a while, I feel like I got to know him when he was on my [Nothing To Write Home About] podcast. He’s a very passionate guy and he’s got a good mind for this business (which is rare in an artist). He approached me about working with Rory Records/Equal Vision Records. I had put out my last couple records myself and was looking to work with a partner that could do more than just me sitting at my dining room table.  It seemed like a sign that Max called right when I was about to start searching. We got on the horn and after one phone call I was in.”

Matt will join Bemis, along with his wife Sherri DuPree-Bemis, their collaborative act Perma, and Merriment for a winter tour. Here's a full list of dates:
