Max Frost deals with “Money Problems” in new music video—watch

Max Frost deals with an issue that many of us know all too well in “Money Problems,” teaming up with AP to share the new video.

The song comes off Frost’s latest album Gold Rush, which he hit the road in support of while handling opening duties for twenty one pilots’ Bandito tour’s first leg.

Despite the gold-tinted theme of the album, Frost wanted to convey a penny-pinching story with the new video, sending a message that money isn’t everything.

“I’ve been broke,” he says. “I’ve made money and then watched it all go away. I’ve had friends that became wealthy so fast that their own family turned against them. I’ve had friends who were so broke that they were dangerously desperate. The truth I’ve come to see is that money fixes no problems. Money is a problem. Whether you got it, or you don’t.”

Frost says it was love at first sight with the video concept, knowing it was perfect fit right after reading the directing duo Dreamtigers’ script for the first time.

“It really spoke to me, because I want the video to convey the spirit of the song, which is the notion that you don’t need money to have a good time,” Frost explains.
