Back to work! Les get it 2020!

A post shared by Matty Mullins (@mattymullins) on

Mullins posted just before Christmas saying new Memphis May Fire and solo music were coming in 2020 and it looks like he’ll be making good on that promise.

There hasn’t been new music from the band since they dropped an emotional cover of Linkin Park’s “Faint” back in the spring. Mullins made a statement about why they chose the track and what the song means to the band.

“A lot of times, when covering a song, you’re doing it for fun or to showcase your skills as an artist,” Mullins said. “But this specific opportunity was a chance for us to honor a band that has had a profound impact on us.”

“There will never be another Linkin Park and there will never be another Chester Bennington. We are forever grateful for the music they made and we hope this cover will encourage our younger fans to dive into the Linkin Park discography and discover the same inspiration that we did years ago.”

You can listen to the cover below.
