Due out April 13, the long-out-of-print EP (which was eventually appended to 1998's Garage Inc. compilation) has been remastered by engineer Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood, California, and will be available just in time for this year's Record Store Day.

Per Metallica's website, the Garage Days reissue will contain some period-specific accoutrements, as it will “not only be released as a CD and download, but also as several vinyl versions including a picture disc, as a cassette, and in a longbox (you youngsters can search the web for that term!).”

Pre-orders on the Metallica site include an instant download of the remastered “The Wait,” which you can listen to here. See the $5.98 EP tracklist after the cut.
