Michael J. Fox, 57, gets first tattoo at cult-favorite NYC parlor
Michael J. Fox is proving that it’s never too late to get your first tattoo.
The actor shared a photo Wednesday of his first ink ever. It’s on his forearm and it’s a sea turtle swimming through five rings.

Fox opted for cult favorite Bang Bang Tattoo parlor in New York to do the honors of blessing him with his first tattoo. The shop is known for tattooing stars such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber and more.
As for why he got a sea turtle, he kept it vague with his own Instagram post.
“First tattoo, sea turtle, long story,” he wrote. Little does he know how badly we want to hear it.

Bang Bang also posted a photo with the Back To The Future star. Fox couldn’t leave the appointment without giving a few gifts. He granted parlor owner Keith ‘Bang Bang’ McCurdy and his tattoo artist with a signed hover-board a pair of gray and white Nike Mags sneakers inspired by Back To The Future Part II.
His tattoo artist, Mr. K, posted a photo of the tattoo, saying it “represents (Fox’s) life and himself.”
McCurdy shared with Inked Magazine some insight as to why Fox went with a sea turtle.
“He was telling me that there was a transformation for him with his career decisions when he was swimming in Saint John. He spotted this turtle with a chunk missing from it’s fin and a scar on his face,” McCurdy said. “And that turtle let him swim with him for about a half an hour. He made a transcending decision right after that. So that turtle was pretty significant to him.”
