It’s been nearly three years since Miss May I released their last full-length album Shadows Inside. Now, frontman Levi Benton has confirmed that the band are working on their follow up to the 2017 album.

Benton also shared that one of their new songs features the “best riff” the band have ever written.

For Miss May I, they find it hard to believe that they’ve been able to release so many albums over the years. Back in 2019, Benton revealed that the band were fully prepared to be forgotten after the release of their debut album Apologies Are For The Weak. After the release of 2010’s Monument, however, their career felt solidified.

Now, Miss May I have six full-length albums under their belt. Since the release of 2017’s Shadows Inside, the band have toured the world with acts including The Word Alive and August Burns Red. Although coronavirus has put a halt to some of their plans this year, Miss May I are still finding time to work on music.

Benton took to Twitter to reveal that Miss May I are working on material for their next release. He even says that one of their new songs has the “best riff” they’ve ever written.

“This new @missmayiband song I am jamming may have the best riff we have ever written,” Benton says.

Although Benton didn’t share any specifics or a release date, the tweet sent Miss May I fans into a frenzy.

At this time, Miss May I and Benton have not shared any release dates for new music. However, Benton’s recent tweet could mean that new music may be on the way soon.
