Mötley Crüe book returns to ‘Best Sellers’ list after biopic release

Following the release of the incredibly successful biopic, the Dirt, Mötley Crüe have once again neared the top of the New York Times Best Sellers list for their autobiography, “The Dirt: Confessions Of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band.”

The book originally released back in 2001 and was written by Neil Strauss.

This week the autobiography has landed itself at No. 6 in the “Nonfiction Print Paperback” category and at No. 8 in the “Nonfiction Combines Print and E-Book Best Sellers list,” according to Blabbermouth.

“It’s been so great to see how both the book and the movie have worked together to inspire so much interest in the band’s music and their singular and remarkable story,” senior VP and publisher at HarperCollins says. “Once again, the fans have spoken. This is a great moment for Neil Strauss and Mötley Crüe and everyone involved in the movie.”

However, the book is not the only thing of Mötley Crüe’s to top the charts this week. According to the band’s Twitter, the film’s soundtrack is currently number one on the Nielsen charts.

Additionally, as previously reported, the soundtrack has reached No.10 on the Billboard 200 chart. This marks the first top 10 charting album for the band since their latest album Saints Of Los Angeles, which peaked at No. 4 in 2008.
