MTV announces 'Spring Break' revival performers

Back in November, MTV announced they would be reviving their Spring Break series. As reported by AV Club, the network has been planning on bringing back a bunch of favorite shows, including Daira, Jersey ShowTRLMADE and the Real World (just to name a few). On Monday, March 11, the official list of performers was finally rolled out.

Justina Valentine (Wild N’ Out, Champs vs. Stars) and Vinny Guadagnino(Jersey Shore) will host the show from the Grand Oasis Cancún Hotel in Cancún, Mexico.

Tyga, Zara Larson, and Rae Sremmurd will take over the stage with appearances from City Girls’ Yung Miami, Lil Baby and DJ Pauly D.

The forthcoming reboot of the mini-series is due to the creation of MTV’s new production house called MTV Studios. According to Deadline, the goal of the new production house is to revive some of MTV’s classic shows.

If you haven’t seen MTV’s Spring Break, which was brought onto the network in 1986 and lasted well into the 2000s, there were quite a few people to grace the stage and party during the break.

Eminem, N-SYNC, No Doubt, Limp Bizkit are a few names that appeared during the show, but let’s not forget some scene favorites (like blink-182 and Paramore!)

Check out some of the performances below!

The reboot is set to kick off on March 23 and will include “exclusive performances and Spring Break-themed programming featuring MTV talent”.
