As reported by, um, MTV, English singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran and Katy Perry-collaborating hip-hip trio Migos will be TRL's inaugural musical guests when your older sister's favorite music video program comes back from the dead on Monday, Oct. 2, at 3:30 p.m. EDT. Make sure to have your VCRs programmed!

The rebooted TRL will commence airing as a daily series, as it once did, live from MTV's Times Square studio. Only this time, instead of performances from the likes of Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears and the occassional visit from Blink-182, we imagine we'll be seeing a lot more from Sheerhan, Migos, and… I don't know, Bhad Bhabie? We can't wait to watch the new TRL after school.

MTV says the new TRL will be “hosted by D.C. Young Fly along with the show's 'squad,' which includes Tamara Dhia, Amy Pham, Erik Zachary, Lawrence Jackson and content creators such as Liza Koshy and the Dolan Twins. Eva Gutowski, Gabbie Hanna and Gigi Gorgeous will serve as social media correspondents.” So, you know, not Carson Daly.

Anyway, here's Blink playing “Anthem Part Two” on TRL way back in the day:
