Just when you thought your favorite band couldn’t be more impressive, they are.

Members of PVRIS, Municipal Waste, Grayscale, the Bronx, Milk Teeth, Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, Palaye Royale, Neck Deep, the Faim and Bowling For Soup brag about their unusual talents.

1. Lynn Gunn, PVRIS

I’m really good at identifying smells and combinations of tastes. I can put two things together to taste like something else. I have very weird taste buds. I’ve just started to make candles with one of my friends back home, and I’ve been designing the smells for them.

2. Tony Foresta, MUNICIPAL WASTE

I do backflips off things when I’m really wasted. That’s still a party trick if I fail or not. The success factor isn’t very high; it’s like 40/100. But it’s good to watch. I almost broke my neck doing that one time. I legit couldn’t feel my arms or below my neck for 10 minutes, and that was the scariest 10 minutes of my life. I hit a table, and I went neck first. Not very intelligent!

3. Collin Walsh, GRAYSCALE

I can make all kinds of really weird faces. My bandmates always make me do it. You know [how] Jim Carrey can really distort his face? I can’t do it as well—he’s amazing at it—but I do have weird facial muscles, so I can make all of these ridiculous-looking faces. I do anything I can to make everyone in our band laugh with whatever stupid face I can make.

4. Matt Caughthran, THE BRONX

I’m really good at hacky sack. I went through a little beach hippy phase when I was in school, and the hacky sack was a friend of mine.

5. Becky Blomfield, MILK TEETH

I have a super-flat head. I was born weird. My head was up against my mum’s rib cage, so it’s completely flat, and the boys balance stuff on it. I think the limit we did at a party once was eight toilet rolls and two bottles!
