MxPx announce beer collaboration, release music videos for entire album

MxPx released their self-titled record earlier this year, and now the band is unleashing a compilation of music videos for each track—nine of which are brand-new.

As if that’s not exciting enough, the band also announced a collaboration with Silver City Brewing who are producing a beer titled Best Life.


The IPA features “Left-Coast hop character and a malt bill incorporating flaked wheat,” according to the brewery.

The band previously partnered up with the brewery to produce a amber lager titled Secret Weapon last year.

Pre-orders for Best Life begin today, which are available as just the beer or with the addition of a shirt and pint glasses

The band will host a release party for the brew Oct. 12 at the Roxy in their hometown of Bremerton, Washington. Frontman Mike Herrera will perform acoustic, and tickets are available for preorder now. General on-sale begins Thursday, Sept. 20.

Earlier this year, MxPx performed their entire new album—the crowdfunded comeback effort—for the first time ever via Facebook Live. Watch the archived live stream and hear the new record (which surprise dropped later that day at midnight) below.

The fan-backed MxPx is the Bremerton, Washington-based punk band’s first full-length platter since 2012’s Plans Within Plans. Christening the release, the band shared news of the album’s drop via Instagram and elsewhere earlier that night.

“We put everything we got into this one,” the band said. “This to me feels like MxPx. It’s how we sound. It’s how we feel. We made the record we wanted to make and our fans helped us do it. I love it, I know we love it as a group. I hope you do too.”
