My Chemical Romance add additional date to European tour

My Chemical Romance have added another date to their 2020 list of shows. They haven’t played a show since their legendary return at the Shrine on Dec. 20. But, we will get to see MCR play again very soon as their next show takes place on March 20 in Melbourne, Australia.

The new date takes place on July 3 in the Czech Republic.

The most recent date that My Chemical Romance added was just last week. The newly added date was a second show in Bonn, Germany at KUNST!RASEN. The first date on July 6 sold out. Originally, some dates were announced for Australia and Japan, then the video “An Offering…” conjured up a U.K. show at Milton Keynes Two more dates were added at Milton Keynes.

Next, a string of European dates was announced followed by the cinematic masterpiece known as “A summoning…” that announced a U.S. tour amid a flurry of awesome Easter eggs

Now, in a post similar to the way they’ve announced most of their shows, My Chemical Romance added a new date to their European tour.

The post is the classic skeletal figure from “An Offering…” shrouded in a dark robe.

Last year, Prague Rocks featured rock icons KISS and ZZ Top.

More My Chemical Romance

In the new Netflix series Locke & Key, My Chemical Romance fans believe an alternate version of the band’s name is featured on a poster as My Mild Romance.

Netflix has featured MCR in a series before. The first time we noticed was in the first season of The Umbrella Academy, which is based on the comic book of the same name written by frontman Gerard Way.

In the first episode of the series frontman Gerard Way‘s name is featured on the back of Vanya Hargreaves (Number 7, Ellen Page) autobiography.

Following a description of praise that is hard to make out, Way’s “words” appear to be as follows:

“An incredible read… a revealing portal into the amazing life of Vayna Hargreeves and the way she has lived… I couldn’t put it down!”

“In the Umbrella Academy show, the critical praise on the back of Vanya’s autobiography was written by Gerard,” Reddit user Ignoramus430 says.

Now, Reddit user Tau_the_kid posted revealing that there is a possible MCR reference in another Netflix original.

In the post, they uploaded an image of the poster the reads “My Mild Romance” with flowers flowing underneath the words. The poster can be seen in the 6th episode of Locke & Key around the nine-minute mark.

Other eagle-eyed viewers spied the band reference and shared it on Twitter.

A Twitter user says that the poster is a reference to MCR because Way is the writer of The Umbrella Academy which is also under the same publishing company as Locke & Key, Dark Horse.

The show also names a myriad of cover bands such as Cover Band of Horses (Band Of Horses,) Nerdvana (Nirvana,) the Novemberists (the Decemberists) and Dead Lyft for Cutie (Death Cab for Cutie.) So, it would make a lot of sense if MY Mild Romance was a tribute to My Chemical Romance.

My Chemical Romance are no stranger to the silver screen as thier music has actually been used in a couple of films.

One of the band’s most popular tracks, “Helena,” was featured in the 2005 horror film House Of WaxThe band’s cover of Bob Dylan‘s “Desolation Row” for Watchmen was also recorded specifically for the film.
