1. OWEL – “I Saw Red”
OWEL dropped a new song from their upcoming album Paris, out March 29. The song is slow, sweet and melodic. This string-infused song features vulnerable lyrics with a soundtrack-like quality, sounding as if it was pulled right from the silver screen.
2. Catch Fire – “Fault Line”
Catch Fire’s new song “Fault Line” captures a lot of emotions into a single three-minute track. Heavy guitars and relatable lyrics push the song forward, giving it a sing-along ability. “Fault Line” is off the band’s debut album, Karma Owes Me A Lifetime Of Happiness, out Nov. 16, and preorders are available now.
3. Mike Krol – “Little Drama”
Mike Krol’s new song “Little Drama” is the electric jam you need for your weekend. With a grainy edge to it, this song will take you back to a ’90s basement show. “Little Drama” is the lead track off Power Chords, out Jan. 25 via Merge. You can preorder the album now and catch Krol on his headlining tour.
4. Safe Bet – “Erased”
Safe Bet might be the soft acoustic sound you need for your weekend. The new song is gentle and almost sad, mixing acoustic and pop-punk elements together. Safe Bet pair the song with a nostalgic, almost surreal video to up the feels. “Erased” is off Safe Bet’s Erased // Idle Hands EP, on Spotify now.
5. Daisybones – “Beautymark”
Daisybones give off major FIDLAR vibes with their new track “Beautymark.” This indie-rock band from Boston capture a sound from the ’50s and give it a modern spin. Their inventive sound makes this a great groove to kick off your weekend.
6. Sam Fender – “That Sound”
Sam Fender is back with “That Sound,” off his upcoming EP Dead Boys, out Nov. 20. “That Sound” combines a heavy-rock vibe with smooth vocals, creating a standout sound for Fender. For fans of Fender, you can preorder Dead Boys now.
7. Maggie Lindemann – “Human”
Maggie Lindemann’s new song “Human” is a great addition to your Halloween playlist (or any day of the year). The music video is set in a haunted house that gives off major Beetlejuice vibes.
8. Pretty Vicious – “Are You Entertained?”
Pretty Vicious’ new song “Are You Entertained?” features a lot of raw energy blasting through your speakers. The song is about “teenage exuberance and rebellion,” according to frontman Brad Griffiths. “Are You Entertained?” is off the band’s debut album, set to drop in early 2019 via Big Machine/John Varvatos Records.
9. Jack The Envious – “The Rapture”
Jack The Envious released a brand-new song titled “The Rapture.” The accompanying music video shows the band preparing for the end as they “wait for the rapture.” The track is taken from their upcoming EP Bleeding Honesty, which drops Nov. 2.
10. A Crash Republic – “Last September”
Boston-based punk act A Crash Republic have the same gruff as Dropkick Murphys with realistic lyrics that will have you nodding along in agreement. “Last September” is the first track from upcoming EP Homewreckers, which will be the first of a three-part collection.
