New York City mayor attends Trash Talk show with his wife
This past weekend, hardcore-punk outfit Trash Talk performed a set at Afropunk Fest in Brooklyn, New York, alongside names such as Bad Brains, Body Count, and many others. Among those in attendance were New York City mayor, Bill de Blasio, and his wife, Chirlane McCray. Bill de Blasio's daughter, Chiara de Blasio, has also been quoted in an interview claiming she listens to, “Old school metal, thrash metal, death metal, the new wave of British heavy metal. In terms of more modern stuff, I've gotten into Scandinavian, folk, and Viking metal. Dante loves metal now too, thanks to me.” Dante being her brother.
This isn't the first time Trash Talk have made their way into the headlines for an unorthodox reason. Just earlier this month the band were dominating the web thanks to their bassist knocking down a flying video drone with a beer can during their set. Additionally, earlier this summer, a fan decided to urinate into his own mouth (NSFW) at one of the group's shows.
