And while we'll never get a sequel to the novel that inspired the TV show, author Jay Asher told Entertainment Weekly about his hopes for a second season back in April.

“I’d just like a continuation of all those characters,” Asher told EW. “I’m curious as well. What happens to Clay? How do people react to what Alex did at the very end? What’s going to happen to Mr. Porter? I’d thought of a sequel at some point. I’d brainstormed it, but decided I wasn’t going to write it. So I’d love to see it.”

Variety recently reported that 13 Reasons Why was the most tweeted about show of 2017 through March with over 11 million tweets. They also reported that “most tweeted about character is Hannah, then Clay, Jeff, Alex and Justin.”

However not everyone is a fan of the Netflix original series, as Car Seat Headrest's Will Toldeo blasted the show, tweeting “it's kind of fucked.” Car Seat Headrest contributed their song “Oh! Starving” to the 13 Reasons Why soundtrack.

To Write Love On Her Arm's founder Jamie Tworkowski also penned a response on his blog to the show.
