Following 2020’s cancellation due to coronavirus, 2000trees is already planning for its massive 2021 festival. In the meantime, the U.K.-based festival has found a new way to bring live music to fans. This week, 2000trees announced it is launching the virtual festival 2000screens.

Jimmy Eat World, Thrice and Enter Shikari are the festival’s headliners. Alongside them, dozens of other acts are scheduled to take part in the virtual event.

The virtual festival is taking place July 9 – 11 which is when this year’s 2000trees was scheduled to happen. During the online festival, performances, exclusive interviews and more will happen across 2000trees’ Facebook and Instagram accounts.

“Obviously we’re gutted that there won’t be a 2000trees this summer,” James Scarlett says. “But I can promise you that this is the next best thing. We’ve got loads of amazing exclusive content and I’m particularly excited by the live sets from Jimmy Eat World and Jamie Lenman. Honestly they have to be seen to be believed! There is also an interview between some of the organizers and Sappenin podcast – make sure you tune in for loads of reminiscing and never before told stories plus a couple of line up hints for 2021.”

Set times for 2000screens will be announced very soon. Alongside the festival’s headliners, acts including Holding Absence, Milk Teeth, Cancer Bats and Lizzy Farrall are taking part in the event.
