Here’s how 5 Seconds Of Summer fans are trying to fix a chart results error
5 Seconds of Summer fans have created a petition and got a hashtag trending after the band’s latest album was ranked low on U.S. Billboard charts.
Last week, the band released their fourth album C A L M, which ranked No. 1 on the Australian charts. However, on the Billboard 200 in the U.S., it is currently ranked No. 62.

The reasoning may be due to a shipping error, which is why fans are fighting back.
On March 30, the band tweeted that 10,000 copies of their album were sent out early in the U.S. That meant those records were appearing in the previous week’s chart.
“We still wanna make our album chart next week as big as possible and want to thank you all so much,” the post read.

After that, 5SOS fans got #billboardcountthe10k trending on Twitter, in an effort to get the service to allow the 10,000 copies to be a part of the correct chart. They even started an online petition that, as of early Sunday afternoon, had nearly 13,000 signatures with a goal of 15,000.
Andy DeLuca, the band’s creative director, also shared the petition on Twitter.

Guitarist Michael Clifford’s fiance Crystal Leigh also chimed in, writing, “On the edge of my seat wondering which side of musical history @billboardcharts & @billboard will decide to be on – 5SOS truly earned and deserves their 4th #1 #billboardcountthe10k.”

Prior to releasing the new album, 5SOS dropped a catchy, ‘80s pop ballad titled “Wildflower.” It was the fifth single the band dropped from the record.
Coinciding with the track, 5SOS also dropped a stop-motion lyric video that took over 18 hours to make, featured 358 different photos and 529 flowers. It’s just the ray of sunshine we all need during this coronavirus quarantine.
