5 Seconds Of Summer react to winning Worst Band award
If you haven’t heard already from Bring Me The Horizon’s Coldplay table escapade, Britain's NME Awards were last night. For the second year in a row, 5 Seconds Of Summer have been awarded with the infamous Worst Band accolade. Read drummer Ashton Irwin’s reaction below.

5SOS beat out One Direction, Little Mix, Steaford Mods, U2 and Nickleback for Worst Band. It seems 5SOS were just as excited for their title last year, with guitarist Michael Clifford tweeting:
Won the NME worst band award. I'm so damn happy right now. thx to everyone who voted ���� #dreamscomingtrue

Hosted by Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, the NME Awards 2016 with Austin, Texas took place at the O2 Academy Brixton. Before 5SOS, the “Worst Band” winner was the 1975—who were among the Best Band nominees this time around. The Maccabees beat out the likes of the 1975, Catfish And The Bottlemen and Foals for Best Band, with Wolf Alice, Run The Jewels and Rat Boy being the night’s other big winners.
