Krasinski even took to Twitter to tease the forthcoming film. Additionally, it looks like he announced a potential release date, which appears to be May of 2020.

While we aren’t sure what to expect from the comedy-turned-horror star just yet, the first installment has set the sequel up for success.

“This is a world you can play in, this isn’t just a character to remake — it’s actually a world, which is a whole different, very unique experience,” Krasinski says of the film in a story with Entertainment Weekly. “It’s not like Alien or Jaws where the main villain is the thing you’re repeating; it’s an actual entire set of rules and the circumstance that the world has undergone that you can play in very different facets.”

The first A Quiet Place earned more than $213 million worldwide at the box office, which included $134.8 million in North America. Additionally, Krasinski’s directorial debut also earned a 95 percent “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

According to IMDb, the first film’s synopsis is as follows:

In a post-apocalyptic world, a family is forced to live in silence while hiding from monsters with ultra-sensitive hearing.
