If you haven't seen the film, we will warn you that there are spoiler alerts ahead!

Everyone is wondering about the monsters from A Quiet Place. Where did they come from? Where are their eyes? And where did Krasinski's inspiration come from?

Krasinski confirmed to the podcast that the monsters are indeed aliens from another planet. The planet had no light, so the monsters have no need for eyes in order to hunt, just an acute sense or hearing.

“The idea is, if they grew up on a planet that had no humans and no light, then they don't need eyes. They can only hunt by sound,” Krasinski explains. “They also develop a way to protect themselves from everything else—that's why they're bulletproof.”

If you're like us and absolutely loved the film, you can keep your hopes up for a spin-off in the future because writers are already discussing it.

“It's such a fun world,” screenwriter Bryan Woods says. “There are so many things you could do.”

The writers also mentioned some ideas they had for the first movie ended up not making the cut and could be explored in a sequel.

“There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer,” Beck said. “So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell. It's just really, at the end of the day, who are the characters in this and what does this situation mean to that dynamic?”

Yeah, we're already ready for a possible sequel!
